University-level distance learning requires an appropriate training, a mature personality as well as the understanding and support of the student’s nearest and dearest:
GCE A-level or equivalent certificate
For a Bachelors course you will, as in a blended-learning university course, under normal circumstances require a secondary-school leaving certificate (GCE A-level or equivalent). Our co-operation associates offer numerous study courses through which persons interested in gaining access to university can prepare for and take the Special Entrance Examination. For a Masters course, a Bachelor degree is a requirementGood self-discipline
The great flexibility of distance learning requires a certain degree of self-organisation and self-discipline: You will yourself determine when and how often you study alone and attend optional classroom learning sessions. The best thing to do is to set yourself a clear daily, weekly and monthly plan with fixed study and rest periods and carefully set out your study corner at home.
Support by the nearest and dearest
Those closest to you should fully support you in your effort to complete a Distance Learning course: your partner, your closest friends as well as your children. Only if they understand that you need time and peace for (self-)study, and are prepared to spur you on should you occasionally flag in your endeavours, will you successfully complete your distance learning.
